Ever since I was little, I have always been really interested in piercings although I never thought I would ever have the courage to get any. Now that I am older, piercings have become a part of me and who I am.

Piercing acceptance

Just like everything else, piercings are not for everyone. You need the acquired taste or you will not understand the purpose. I do not think piercings define who you are. Piercings are a part of character, self expression, and simply just loving the way each piercing looks on your body.

Piercings are not really accepted as much as most people would like them to be. A lot of people make judgments on people with piercings and stereotype them as “bad or reckless”. They’re looked down upon and considered unprofessional which I do not agree with. Never have and never will! I believe people should have the freedom to express themselves without fear of being judged by others.

In my personal opinion, I think piercings and tattoos will be accepted by society sooner or later due to that it’s being a form of art. You just need a positive outlook and an open mind. In the mean time, I think everyone should experience with piercings or tattoos and not let the fear of judgment hold you back.
